"I learned about ORGware through Halley Suitt, who was introduced to the Dean Campaign by Britt Blaser. After I saw ORGware demonstrated at the Berkman Center, I was delighted to serve as an advisor. The ORGware architecture has great potential to help the newspaper industry transition from a closed, pay-per-issue business model to an online, inclusive hyperlocal model. This is an exciting potential, quite separate from ORGware's potential for political campaigns.

"I was retained by Open Resource Group to research and write the ORGware Mission white paper. My assignment was to produce it as objectively and skeptically as I would any column. My work reinforced my sense that ORGware is an important new facility for groups and media at many levels.

She is also a broadcaster and author of eight best-selling books. In addition she is a sought-after speaker, host of events and participant in conferences around the world. She has been honored with many prestigious awards from associations, publications and universities across Canada, including Chatelaine Magazine's Woman of the Year for 1992. In addition to Open Resource Group, LLC, Diane serves on the advisory boards of York University, East/West Enterprises and CANFAR, the Canadian Foundation for AIDS research as well as on the board of directors for CARE Canada, the George Brown College Foundation Board and was Chair of the successful $22-million campaign for Ryerson University's Community Health Centre which was opened in fall 2002.
